Thanks IngridK! I loved what you sent me~ the door hanger, pot purri hearts (perfect for my suitcase), lolly hearts which the kids loved, choccies for me, little bag, zip, buttons, sewing notions...:-) Adds xx
We have had a few swaps recently where items have been lost in the mail or just never sent. We thought it would be an idea to enforce some rules to make sure that everyone who sends an item recieves one. This is only fair considering how much time and effort most of us put into our swaps.
Swap Guidelines - Firstly do NOT commit to a swap if you are unsure you will be able to complete it. - To participate in a swap you must be an active member of EB for at least six months and an active member of either the sewing or quilting thread for at least three months. - Please be thoughtful about what you send. Read your partners quiz answers if a quiz has been set. If a monetary limit is set please go as close to the limit as you can without going over it. If you are making an item then put in your best effort. Only send what you would be happy to receive. - When you receive a swap remember to say a public thank-you to whoever sent your parcel and also post pictures as soon as possible. We all like to see what others receive and it is a nice way to show your appreciation for all their efforts. - If you have had postage problems in the past please use registered post. It is only a few dollars more and ensures your package can be tracked and you won't end up on the blacklist. - A swap blacklist will be created to ensure fairness for all participants. You will be added to the blacklist if you participate in a swap and your partner does not receive their package. You may also be added to the list if you have a history of sending late/lost packages and have not done anything to rectify the problem, ie using registered post. Once on the list you are unable to participate in swaps. Your details will be passed on to new swap organisers -If at anytime during the swap period circumstances arise that mean you are unsble to complete your part of the deal then please contact the swap organiser asap. We all understand that life gets busy, people get sick etc etc. The swap organiser will be able to help you sort out a solution. Please don't wait for the last minute to do this. Chances are someone else will need to make something on your behalf so give them the courtesy of having a bit of time to do it and also remember to say thank-you.
Hopefully these guidelines will make swapping a fun process for everyone and ensure no one misses out. They will also make it an easier job for swap organisers.
